Lunch & Learn: Scams that Target Small Business Owners

Many business owners think they’re too small for a scam artist or fraudster to care about, but it’s actually the opposite. Scammers know you, the small business owner, are juggling multiple jobs that bigger corporations can delegate to different groups of employees. These con artists are hoping you’re too busy to pay attention to daily details as they attempt to steal your money or personal information.

Objectives:

  • Types of scams and how they work
  • What to watch out for
  • What to do if you’ve lost money or information
  • Data Theft: Only about what it’s worth to you
